It is not always easy to get up and sing in front of everyone, but because of the respect that each of the kids have for one another, they all sang and many ended up dancing.

I was so impressed by their quickness and enthusiasm.

It was almost perfect after only one class. Some other classes started learning the days of the week by practicing a song. A few of the older kids ended up making necklaces during their free time because the necklaces were such a hit! They got to wear their necklaces and eat them when they were finished. They looked great once they were finished, but I doubt any made it home – By the end of the day, most were eaten! It was an exciting hands-on project.

There were so many opportunities to practice our colors, and the children took it very seriously. Each child took a turn telling the rest of the class which two colors to put on their necklace. They learned the words for red, green, blue, yellow and orange. A box of 12 candy canes has a suggested retail price of $2.99.This week we made necklaces out of Fruit Loops so the first graders could learn the colors in Spanish. The Kellogg’s Froot Loops Candy Canes are available now. Still, that holiday tradition is worth the effort. From the difficulty of getting the plastic wrap off to breaking the candy, sometimes enjoying the holiday candy is a lot of effort. Now it is a holiday decoration, a classic holiday candy and even just a symbol of the season.įor some people, they either love or hate the candy cane. While the legend of the candy says that it was used to keep choir children quiet, the candy cane has moved beyond that tradition. Over the years, candy cane flavors have evolved beyond the classic peppermint flavor. Given the potential success of this Froot Loops Candy Canes, maybe next year there could be a cereal inspired candy cane variety pack. Since the candy cane is a sugar candy, it can be adapted into a variety of flavors. The release of this new cereal inspired candy cane begs the question, what other Kellogg’s cereals could be transformed into the classic holiday candy? For example, wouldn’t it be great to have a Frosted Flakes candy cane? What about some Apple Jacks? The possibilities are many.
